The TroTrof polymer railway cable troughing range is a patented, registered and trademarked design that has been designed to comply with Network Rail Standards for railway cable troughing systems. Trojan Services Ltd was awarded the Network Rail Environmental Award for Innovation in 2008 for the TroTrof design.

Installation - Newton St. Cyres

TroTrof exhibits high impact resistance and is not damaged by high loadings. TroTrof cable troughs have been used on numerous Network Rail, tram and LUL projects to date. The product has received excellent feedback from the projects especially the HSQE benefits.

TroTrof products are designed to interface with existing concrete troughs and lids (straights, curves, transition and T pieces) thus making them an ideal product for enhancement and maintenance projects where damaged troughs or lids need to be replaced.

TroTrof’s versatility has been demonstrated by installation teams who have used it on sites where access is difficult, such as steep embankments and viaducts where weight has been a major factor. It has effectively been installed into various ground types, including soil, ballast, a combination of these and as a free-standing cable troughing route.

The TroTrof polymer railway cable trough units exhibit high impact resistance and are not damaged by high loadings. TroTrof railway cable troughs have been used on a variety of rail projects to date. Our customers include Network Rail, London Underground, Nexus (Newcastle Tram) and leading industry contractors such as Balfour Beatty, Amey, and Carillion.

Trojan Services Ltd currently offers the TroTrof unit in one size, its dimensions complying with Network Rail’s C1/9 trough specification. The TroTrof units can be cut down and altered to create neat and reliable re-routing options and transitions where the cable route demands it. Please contact us for more information.
